DCAC is slowly reopening for in-person visits -here's how you can get treatment

These are trying times to say the least, and acupuncture and Chinese herbs are some of the best things we can do for our bodies, minds and spirits. While we are all social distancing, Davis Community Acupuncture Clinic will be offering the following:

  • One-on-one/family acupuncture sessions: As a way to minimize the spread of Covid-19, I'll be seeing people one at a time, or in family groups that aren't social distancing from one another outside of the clinic.

Here's what the visit will entail:
-First off, I'll ask you to cancel if you develop any of the Covid symptoms we've all been hearing about (no charge for last minute cancellations in this case): sore throat, fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell, etc
-I'll ask that you wear a mask the whole time you're in the clinic. I'll do the same.
-Text or knock when you arrive and I'll check your temperature at the door (be prepared to wait outside or in your car if the previous patient hasn't left yet)
-I have liquid hand sanitizer available at the front door and outside the restroom, and powerful air filters running
-I can treat you in a recliner (they're going to be completely covered by a sheet) or on a table if you prefer
-You and I will be the only people in the office for the duration of your visit
-I'll do my best to clean high contact surfaces throughout the office and restroom between each visitor
-The bins that were under the chairs have been taken out of circulation, so any personal belongings you bring in can be left on the carpet or on the seat with you
-The cost will be $80-$120 sliding scale for a single person, or $50-$70 each for more than one at the same appointment

(Note: this is a new booking website, so it will need a new username and password if you want to create an account, though you don't have to have an account to book a session.)

  • Distance acupuncture sessions: similar to a session in the clinic. Since the needles are just a tool to focus intention, and the real work happens by moving the energy in the body, it's something that can be done from anywhere. We can text, email or chat about how you're currently feeling, and then I'll start the treatment. You can take the opportunity to rest and feel it, or even continue on about your daily activities — the treatment will work either way.

  • Phone consultations: if you'd like to discuss lifestyle, herbal, diet, perspective and other changes that you can make to help navigate life more smoothly. Herbal formulas that are not available from local grocery stores (Davis Food Co-op or Nugget) can be set up for non-contact pickup at the clinic.

  • A combination of these last two.

  • For distance sessions, payments can be made via PayPal or Venmo (to Itay Neta) or by mailing a check to the clinic:
